Not all the murals here in Gran Tarajal are comical. Some of the murals do depict aspects of traditional life.
This mural depicts the community effort of drying a catch of fish.

Even with the wide spread use of refrigeration and freezers, fish are still dried in the Canaries in the traditional way.

The fish are split open, to make them thinner for drying, and washed in sea water, to get the drying process started.
