Rodney Bay was getting a ‘bit rolly’ and we decided to make a trip further south down the coast of Saint Lucia to the little hidden cove of Marigot Bay.
(Video to come)
It was a perfect sunny sail down the lee side of the island. We made it to the cove in a comfortable two hours.

Unfortunately my human’s are ‘cheap’ and they anchored up just outside of the bay. You used to be able to anchor on the south side of the channel to the harbour and even inside the harbour, but now they are both full of anchor balls that you must pay a fee to tie to.

Lucky for me, the channel into the bay is protected by high cliffs either side and is very calm. This means it will be easy for them to kayak me to shore,

Inside is a small bay surrounded by mangroves.

On one side of the bay is a marina and shops, outside that is a few restaurants and bars set in the trees and the middle of the bay is full of mooring buoys.

Marigot Bay is a ‘tourist attraction’ and boats come in and out regularly. We do wonder if there are any health and safety regulations here.
What do you think?

Tomorrow we will have to do some more exploring.
Now time for a sundowner.
