All the anchorages in the British Virgin Islands are a quick ‘hop’ away.
We decided to try to take our company to another island.
GREAT CAMANOE ISLAND – LEE BAY
Although they are not into ‘sailing’, the short trip to Lee Bay was pleasant.
The sallow sand of the bay meant 4 tries to get the anchor set, but it was worth it was a lovely calm anchorage.
A short walk from Lee Bay, past a salt pond, and you get to Cam Bay on the windward side of the Island.
A great place for sunsets into the surrounding islands.
GUANA ISLAND – WHITE BAY
They survived the last sail, so we decided to move them again.
This time to the picture postcard beach of White Bay.
We relaxed on the beach and amused ourselves with the diving antics of the local penguins.
Another great bay for sunsets.
VIRGIN GORDA ISLAND – GORDA SOUND
As they fared so well on the short sails, we decided to try to take them a little further afield. Across the Sir Frances Drake Channel to the island of Virgin Gorda.
It was a little bit of a ‘beat to wind’, but they did very well on the crossing.
As a reward for surviving the crossing we took them to the famous tiny resort island of Saba Rock for their ‘happy hour’ sundowners.
With only half their holiday time used up, what will they get up to next?

Quinny can you tell Dad he’s looking a lot better than when he used to munch too many McDonalds in London. I’m jealous of your company they look like they’re having a great time even though they not too keen on being on water.. Just to let you know when they have alcohol in hand it’s a bit like a dog treat, everything seems rosy, including the cheeks. Hope your guests have a wonderful time and stay safe….xx
