We left beautiful West Plana Cay to join friends in Attwood Harbour. The harbour is actually a reef protected cove on Lady Slipper Cay nestled between the two larger islands of Acklins and Crooked.
Attwood Harbour is another very shallow bay with sandy deeper water in the middle to anchor in. You are completely surrounded by a beautiful beach and the water here is a strange turquoise rather then the usual blue.
I can only suspect that the river, on the far SW of the bay, brings organic material and life in from the islands internal shallow waters. Would have liked to have more time to explore up there.
Instead we did a little conch hunting (very large ones can be found right up to the beach) and chilling out with friends.
You have to love the Bahamas!
