They hope that this will put us in a good position for a longer sail tomorrow up around Powell Point, through the sandbars (Davis Channel) and into Rock Sound. They hope, with the light winds, the small hop today will knock off a few hours from tomorrows sail.
We had a ‘bit more’ wind then predicted and reached the South West point of Eleuthera Island in good time.
The Cruising guide did not warn us, as usual, how ‘reef strewn’ getting into the anchorage would be. It was not difficult, but we were glad to have good light to get anchored among the coral heads.
This made it easy to snorkelling from the boat.
The anchorage is beautiful, with a great swimming beach, but…
You may have to put up with a bit of Southerly swell sneaking in and rolling you a bit. But if you like to have places ‘to yourself’, it is worth a stop here.
There is a short hike up to the rocky point and a light house to explore.
Only a short stop over here though, as the humans want to drag me away from a perfectly good beach again, and make the passage through the Davis Channel into Rock Sound.
No rest for my weary paws!

I want to be on that beach Quinny..
The next one they dragged me to was so much more ‘inferior’!
It is not fair being a dog.
Not fair at all.
