Now that we have the trip to the Bahamas over with and all the check in procedures done we can finally start getting into the holiday season.
First on our list of things to do is to get the humans to cut all that extra hair off me. Now that we have left the chilly winter winds of Northern Florida behind, I no longer need the insulation. And besides, the humans hate all the sand I carry aboard when my coat is long.
With that job complete we stretched our legs surveying the area around our anchorage here on the south end of Hoffman Cay in the Berry Islands of Bahamas.
I also sent the humans out to forage for dinner. With snorkel and masks in hand I sent them out on the kayaks to forage among the reefs for some spiny lobster. Despite braving some seas surge and currents in the cuts between the small sandy cays they came back empty handed.
After they provided me with such a lovely dinner of fish fingers and chips with their catch on the way here I was sure their luck would hold. I guess not.
The next step in getting into the Christmas preparation is to get the Christmas lights up. A little cheesy, and we can only run them for a few hours depending on how much wind energy we are getting, but it always puts us in the mood for gift giving.
Hope you all are getting in the mood!
Hope all your Christmas preparations are going well.
