Everyone thinks the Bahamas are all about sea and sand, but my humans were out to show Roy there is a lot more than that to be found on a holiday here. They dragged him off on a jungle bash to seek out the highest peak in the Exumas.
Now regular readers will remember that my humans are not the best at finding and following trails. They have gotten themselves very lost many times in the past.
I hope Roy knows what he has gotten himself into. I was beginning to lose faith in them as guides when they made a water stop right beside a poison wood tree (similar to poison ivy).
But when Honeymoon Beach came into view in the distance I knew we were on the right trail.
Getting to the palm fringed Honeymoon Beach was a cooling break.
Roy was sent in search of water nuts (green coconuts).
From the beach the trail made a steep accent of the hill side giving us great views out over the shallow waters of the Exuma Bank.
Then we finally made it to the top.
Then it was time for the hike back.
With a quick break on the beach.
Then it was back to the boat.
You would think it was time to relax after that big hike, but no. The boys were off again, as it was slack water (no tidal current running), for a snorkel on a different reef this time.
No lazing about here!

We understand how you there are adventurous hikes when your humans are leading the way!
Yes, it was not that long ago they dragged your lot up and over a big hill in the Caribbean heat for a burger. This time there were no food or drinks at the top, just a nice view. I think you got the better deal on your hike!
Oh what beautiful scenery ,and wonderful to see the photos of you and caine together..you both look happy and cute……Quinn , of course looks his usual self. We are still basking in four feet of snow here in the snowbelt of Orillia…Oh well , days arte getting longer…..have fun and be safe…..Hugs Rose
Dear Rose,
I am relying on our company, Roy, to be my photographer at the moment. It does mean you do actually get me and both my humans in the shot occasionally. I have my ‘guest photographer’ for another week, so you may see more of us all together.
Can not say I am missing the cold weather you are experiencing, or the short days. You guys stay warm! Thank you for all your lovely words of encouragement.
