I do not let my humans laze about.
We lifted anchor and sailed from White Point to Black Point. Just a little way north up Great Guana Cay.
We had to ‘change venue’ because the wind was changing from north east to south. The anchorage at Black Point afforded us a little more protection from any waves.
It may have been a short sail. But that is no excuse not to have our traditional toast to a safe passage.
At the end of the anchorage there is a large sand bank exposed during low tide. You can usually find lots of sand dollars here.
Unless of course they are trying to get to Happy Hour. Which they have for cruisers every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in the village.
Black Point is NOT a tourist town. It is a proper Bahamian settlement. But saying that they do have a few restaurants, bars and stores to attract cruisers to visit.
But grocery shopping was not on my humans minds.
Unfortunately Guinness Foreign Export was not on the list of beer on offer at half price. No problem as the bartender introduced them to a new Bahamian beer just as strong.
If you are going to start drinking this stuff then you have to line the stomach with something.
Of course everything is served in ‘Bahamian time’. So the boys were well away by the time they got something in their stomachs.
As they were the only ‘cruisers’ in the place they felt obliged to entertain the locals when the disco started.
They are so going to regret the hangovers in the morning!
