Well it has been long hot days working on the boat.
The humans have finished the last of the exterior woodwork. Not a stitch of varnish left on the outside of the boat. It has all been replaced with Coelan, so this should greatly reduce the amount of woodwork in the future.

There is still varnish on the interior wood, but that only needs a touch up now and then. Unfortunately the wear and tear of the Caribbean means it is ‘THEN’ again. So the humans are using their time in a marina to get another coat of varnish on the hatches, stairs and floors.
And for you other boat owners, when was the last time you totally stripped and cleaned your winches? I got my humans to work on that one!
Have no fear it not all work for the humans. I drag them out into the mangroves and the hardwood forest that surrounds the Marina for regular walks.
And we happen upon interesting wildlife all the time.

Some of the ‘wild life’ is not as entertaining. We found this spider on a rubbish bin by the toilets in the night. Bit of a ‘big boy’ the humans did not entertain fooling around with.
And we met our first cruiser who got a ‘parasite’ under their skin. You hear all these horror stories, but we actually met a cruiser who had to get his wife to remove a fly larva from his heel. And he lived to tell his story!
!!!Warning!!!!! DO NOT OPEN THIS ATTATCHEMENT IF YOU ARE SQUEEMISH!

But it is not all tropical jungle and wildlife here. There are lots of activities for the humans to get up to when I let them have a break.
But I try not to let them get too distracted as there is lots more to do on the boat. Another hurricane season that is going to slip by much too quickly!

The first and last picture are NAT GEO standard! I think its time for you to go DSLR missy!
Your not bad either Cain, but Aprils definitely got it!
Unless of course it was Quinn?

Dear Steve,
I have to admit that my humans STOLE the first and last picture from the net. They were feeling a little bad that they had not spent what little time off I give them taking photographs. Besides, all they have is a rubbish used camera they managed to get ‘unwanted’ from another cruiser in the Bahamas. But we all know a pour and lazy craftsman blames his tools. You are bringing a better camera with you when you come visit us in October.
AND….guess what one of the humans found on their neck last night….right after finishing the blog?
You guessed it!
