THEY CAN SAIL
Well the humans have proved the boat still sails. Only two thing needed repair. Some WD40 and a mallet and both fixed…sort of. One shackle was seized and the main sheet traveller decided it did not want to travel.
After scrubbing a pound of mud off the anchor and chain the winds turned out to be dead down wind. The humans actually remembered how to set a pole and preventer. So we sailed ‘goose winged’ all the way to the off shore Islands of the Las Perlas.
THEY CAN FISH
We were told the fishing around the islands is good. And you guys know my weakness for a fish fry. Well they were right. Nothing for ages, but just as the island came into view the humans reeled in three fish in quick succession. They got one big Cero and a couple of male Mahi Mahi. It was the lurer with the silver head they liked the most.
I LOVE THE BEACH
Thankfully the humans anchored up off a great big tropical beach for me. I have so missed a good wander on a deserted beach to myself.
We all had our first family swim together in the Pacific Ocean. OK, we are still officially in the Bay of Panama, but that is being picky.
BORING SYSTEMS CHECKS TOMORROW
The humans have some last systems checks to do tomorrow before we set off again. The humans want to make sure the water maker works now that they have left the dirty water of the city. They also want to give their copper bottom a buff and knock any barnacles off that have decided our prop would be a good new home. Easy, right?

Quinn, enjoy the trip, fresh fish and especially your beach walks.
May you and your humans have good wind. It was great meeting the three of you and we still think of how April patched our sail. Glad you’re on the water again and exploring.
